Yvette Sierra-Vignau (Ee-vet See-air-uh Vig-now) is a licensed social worker who graduated from New York University. Their primary area of clinical interest lies in supporting marginalized individuals with navigating challenging emotions, processing and managing traumatic stress, and building healthy relationships.

As a queer and nonbinary person of the Mexican diaspora, Yvette knows firsthand how important it is to consider the ways in which our identity, sociocultural environment, and emotional capacity influence the dynamics we experience in our relationships and communities. In sessions, they draw on personal experiences and sociopolitical development theory to provide a queer, feminist, intersectional, and abolitionist lens that integrates knowledge of systemic oppression into the therapeutic framework.

Yvette believes that effective therapy is person-centered and research driven. Their approach is rooted in the power of positive relationships combined with elements of evidence-based methods such as dialectical behavior therapy. They view the therapeutic alliance as a collaborative process in which each person holds unique strengths and assets that can be built on to increase overall resilience. Yvette is committed to co-creating a warm and brave space that allows clients to accesstheir personal wisdom and improve the quality of their everyday lives.
